Candlesticks are such a versatile project. You can make them elegant and fancy or county chic and casual. In this class I will show you two ways to make candlesticks /candleholders. We will be using basic slab building techniques and joining composite parts together to create a more complex form. These are a great project for testing out textures and glaze combinations. They also are great sellers at craft and art fairs or if you sell your work online. This class is perfect for all ages and skill levels.

You are going to fall in love with this wheel thrown fun and funky teapot. In this class you will combine wheel throwing and handbulding techniques to make a one of a kind teapot that can also be used as a coffee pot or ewer.

These double walled hollow bottomed Shakers are a fun way to make salt, pepper, herb and spice shakers and are a fabulous form to practice your throwing skills. This class is a bit challenging but with practice I know you’ll get it and will love making them!

Underglaze or Glaze Test Plate

Underglaze or Glaze Test Plate

Underglaze or glaze test plates are a great way to create a visual reference for your underglazes or glazes. This plate design has 24 scallops on the edges which makes it perfect for testing out 24 different colors.
I first saw test plates like these at the Sevres Ceramic factory in France. They have used this style of plate for centuries to test out glazes, underglazes, overglaze enamels (china paints) and lusters.
These plates are designed to hang on a wall so that you can quickly see examples of all of your underglazes/glazes.

I love making these small bird baths/feeders and I think you will too! They are fabulous for nestling around your garden to provide food and water for your feathered friends. This class will use simple slab building techniques and is suited for all ages and skill levels. Here is a fun unboxing and class in one. First, I share my two newest rolling pin designs. Then I show a simple and easy way to make a plate using GR Pottery Forms and a plastic or paper plate as a template. This class is perfect for beginners or for those that just want to make their own plates.

This Slab bowl is fun quick little project when you have limited time in the studio. It is also a great way to use up leftover clay scraps from other projects! We will be using a drape mold and soft slabs to create these bowls. This class is suited for all ages and skill levels.
